Carolina Dock’s roof is constructed from Cee-Channel and 3 inch square tubing that is notched to fit directly to the poles and transfer weight bearing loads to the mainframe of the dock. All new construction docks come standard with our “Silent Roof System”. Carolina Dock developed the “Silent Roof System” in 2006 to cut down on the rumbling noise commonly heard when someone walks across a dock. This “Silent Roof System” utilizes hidden neoprene strips between the roof sheet and roof pearling on the dock to enhance the overall lake experience without hearing creaking or rumbling.
